Tanzania National Commercial Bank

The full name of National Bank of Commerce (Tanzania) is National Bank of Commerce (Tanzania) Limited, which is a Tanzanian commercial bank. It is one of the oldest banks in Tanzania, with a history dating back to the independence period of Tanzania.

As of the end of 2015, Tanzania’s National Commercial Bank had assets of more than US$773 million (1.69 trillion shillings), making it the fourth largest commercial bank in the country, after the National Microfinance Bank, CRDB Bank and FBME Bank.

The National Commercial Bank of Tanzania is headquartered in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and is chaired by Moussa Assad. In 2015, the National Commercial Bank of Tanzania had revenues of US$8 million (Shillings 17.5 billion), total assets of US$773 million (Shillings 1.69 trillion), and 1,240 employees.
