BH Air is a Bulgarian airline headquartered in Sofia and it is a subsidiary of Balkan Holidays Services. The airline provides charter flights to the UK, Scandinavia, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and other European countries, as well as special charter flights to other destinations.
The main base of BH Air is Sofia, which has secondary bases in Burgas, Varna and Plovdiv. It wet leases some aircraft from SpiceJet Airlines in India.
BH Air was established in 2001 and started operations in January 2002. Airlines mainly provide charter flights to Sofia, Plovdiv, Burgas and Varna.
At first, BH Air operated with a Tupolev Tu-154M aircraft, and after a few months the number of aircraft increased to four. In the summer of 2003, the first Airbus was put into operation.
