Air Moldova is the national airline of Moldova, headquartered in Chisinau. Airlines mainly use Chisinau International Airport base to operate regular and charter flights to European destinations.
The origins of Moldova aviation can be traced back to September 19, 1944, when the first Bao-2 transport aircraft arrived in Chisinau, and Moldova Independent Squadron was formally established.
