The Jamaica Observer (The Jamaica Observer) is a Jamaican daily newspaper that is published for the Kingston area of Jamaica. It was established in January 1993 and is owned by Butch Stewart. Its competitor is Jamaica Gleaner, the oldest newspaper in Jamaica.
The founding editor of the Jamaica Observer is Desmond Allen. At the time, the newspaper was the fourth largest national newspaper in Jamaica. Initially in March 1993, it began to be published as a weekly newspaper, and after December 1994 it became a daily newspaper.
