The National Broadcasting Company (NBC) is an American commercial broadcast television network and wireless network company headquartered in Rockefeller Center in New York City, with other main offices located near Los Angeles and Chicago.

The National Broadcasting Corporation is sometimes called the ‘Peacock Network’, and its logo is named after the peacock. The company was established in 1926 by the American Radio Company. It is the oldest broadcasting network company in the United States.

In 1986, General Electric Company acquired American Radio Corporation for $640 million, after which it became a subsidiary of General Electric Company. Prior to this, General Electric had owned the American Radio Company and National Broadcasting Corporation until 1930, when General Electric was accused of a monopoly and was forced to sell the company.

In 1986, the National Broadcasting Corporation was acquired. The company’s chief executive Bob Wright did not pass on the position to Jeff Zucker until he retired.

Currently, NBC is a subsidiary of Comcast Telecom, a subsidiary of the media company NBCUniversal. Previously, the company was jointly owned by General Electric and Vivendi.

As a result of the merger, Jeff Zucker left NBC and Comcast CEO Steve Burke took the throne. The company has 10 TV stations, radio stations, and 200 affiliates in the United States and elsewhere.

Most of the films in the 10 TV or radio stations of the National Broadcasting Corporation can be found and purchased through the NBCUniversal Archives. The company has won the second most important awards in the broadcasting and film industry-the Golden Globe Awards.
