Laxmi Bank is a Nepalese commercial bank that was established on April 16, 2002. In 2004, it merged with HISEF Laxmi Bank, the first-generation financial company financial advisory company.
Laxmi Bank is an ‘A’ financial institution. According to the Nepal Financial Institutions Act, Lakshmi Bank re-registered as a bank in 2006. It is a listed company on the Nepal Stock Exchange.
Currently, Laxmi Bank has a paid-up share capital of 16.1 billion Nepalese rupees. In 2009, it distributed a 20% bonus stock dividend. Bank’s shareholding structure: Promoter Group – 55.42% of the shares, Citizen Investment Trust – 9.02% of the shares, and General Public – 35.56% of the shares (over 10,000 shareholders).
Laxmi Bank Subsidiaries: Laxmi Life Insurance (holding 15% shares), Laxmi Capital Markets Co., Ltd. (holding 70% shares), Laxmi Bank Pension Fund, Laximi Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha (holding 100% Shares).
Laxmi Bank is headquartered in Hattisar, Kathmandu, CEO Suman Joshi, and has 350 employees.
