Buddha Air is a Nepalese airline headquartered in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur District. The airline mainly operates domestic and international business in Nepal and India. Since its establishment in 1997, it has become the largest domestic airline operator in Nepal.
Buddha Air was established on April 23, 1996 by a retired Supreme Court judge and former government minister Surendra Bahadur Basnet and his youngest son, a helicopter pilot, Shivendra Bahadur Basnet.
