Queen Alia International Airport (Queen Alia International Airport) is Jordan’s largest airport, located 30 kilometers (20 miles) south of the Amman capital, Zizya. The airport is named after Queen Alia, the third wife of King Hussein of Jordan.
Queen Alia International Airport is the seat of Jordanian National Airlines, Royal Jordanian Airlines, and the main hub for Jordanian Airlines, Royal Falcon and Royal Wings.
The new terminal of Queen Alia International Airport was opened in March 2013 to replace two passenger terminals and one cargo terminal at the airport. Once the new terminal building officially began operations, the three original terminals were eliminated.
