Fielmann AG is a German optical company focusing on retail eyewear. The company mainly sells in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Poland, Luxembourg and the Netherlands (including franchise and industry). It has 723 branches, sales of 1.61 billion euros in 2017 , and 8.1 million glasses sold.
Fielmann’s pre-tax profit increased 3% to 248.6 million euros, and revenue increased 1% to 172.9 million euros.
As of December 31, 2017, Fielmann operated 723 subsidiaries and employed 18,522 people, of which 3,417 were receiving training. Fielmann accounts for 5% of German optometrist shops and trains more than 40% of optometrist apprentices in Germany.
