The Ministry of Fisheries and Agriculture (Iceland) is a cabinet-level department in Iceland. It is an important economic sector and its fishery products account for approximately 40% of Iceland’s exports. On June 13, 2007, the Icelandic Parliament passed a law to merge the Icelandic Ministry of Fisheries and the Icelandic Ministry of Agriculture. The merger took effect in January 2008.
