Jalbum is a free cross-platform management and creation of digital photo album software that allows users to publish their free or paid photo sharing services. The software already has more than 32 million photos and more than 700,000 users. The software is similar to Google Picasa or Apple iPhoto, but the software is extremely convenient, flexible and versatile. It requires a Java virtual machine to run, but it can be used on most operating systems, and it provides 32 languages.
Jalbum allows users to manage their own photos, organize photos into albums, and perform basic digital editing and annotations. The software was created in 2002 by Swedish programmer David Ekholm. The current version is 11.6.3. In November 2013, the 10th version began to adopt a new licensing model: the software is free to use, but not for commercial purposes. If users use it for commercial purposes, they will have to purchase a professional license.
Jalbum’s website, Jalbum.net, is a social network photo-sharing website, as well as a promotion and distribution software. The website provides a 30-day trial of 4GB storage space for registered users. If you want to upgrade your storage space then you need a paid service.
