Performics is a performance marketing agency that provides paid search, organic search, social, display, alliance and mobile marketing solutions for global Fortune 500 companies and small customers. It is wholly owned by Publicis Group, a French advertising holding company. Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, it has approximately 130 customers, including: Bose, HP, Cole, Verizon Wireless and Cabela.
Performics was established in 1998 as an affiliate marketing company. It launched search engine marketing services in 2001. It was acquired by DoubleClick for $58 million in 2004. In April 2007, DoubleClick announced that Google had acquired DoubleClick (including Performics) for $3.1 billion. The acquisition was finally approved by the European Commission in the United States and Brussels, the anti-monopoly agency of the European Union, and the anti-monopoly department of the Ministry of Justice in March 2008.
The network part of DoubleClick’s Performics affiliates kept in touch with Google and was renamed Google Affiliate Network. Performics is part of Publicis Group’s search marketing service department, which provides customers with search engine marketing services and multi-channel marketing technology. Its chief executive officer is Daina Middleton, the American president is Eric Papczun, the chief executive officer of PerformicsEMEA is Frederick Joseph, and the managing director of the Asia Pacific region is Gareth Mulryan.
