ConAgra Foods is an American food packaging company headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. The company produces and sells products under different brand names in supermarkets, restaurants and food service establishments. It was founded in 1919 by Frank Jr. and Alva Kinney. At first, four grain mills merged to form Nebraska Consolidated Mills. In fiscal 2012, the company had revenues of $13.3 billion and a total of 26,100 employees.

Initially, ConAgra Foods was headquartered in Grand Island, Nebraska, and then moved to Omaha in 1922. In 1940, the company began to produce flour in its own factory and entered the livestock feed market in 1942. That year, President RS Dickinson established a flour mill and feed mill in Alabama.

In the 1950s and 1960s, American families began to buy more and more ready-to-eat foods. Nebraska Consolidated Mills chose not to expand their flour business, but turned to the opposite direction and paid more attention to raw foods such as poultry. And expand livestock feed business. On November 27, 2012, ConAgra officials announced that they would acquire RALCORP for approximately US$4.95 billion, only to be approved by RALCORP shareholders.
