Brunswick Golden Isles Airport (Brunswick Golden Isles Airport), formerly known as Glynco Jetport, is a county-level public airport located five kilometers (9 kilometers) north of the downtown business district of Brunswick, Green County, Georgia, United States. It is mainly used in general aviation, but also serves a commercial airline.
Before 1975, Brunswick Golden Island Airport was the Naval Air Station Glynco. In August 1942, the U.S. Navy began construction of this air station in 2,400 acres (970 hectares) in the northern part of the county.
Brunswick Golden Island Airport covers an area of 2003 acres (811 hectares) with an altitude of 26 feet (8 meters). The airport has a runway, 7/25 asphalt and concrete runway is 8001 feet × 150 feet (2439 meters × 46 meters).
During the 12-month period ending July 31, 2007, Brunswick Golden Island Airport flew 28,160 aircraft, an average of 77 flights per day: General aviation accounted for 74%, short-range passenger aircraft accounted for 11%, and commercial aircraft accounted for 9%. The military accounted for 7%.
